Matchima - origami earrings

Each Matchima origami earring is a crane on solid stem or delicate chain with single jewel on a fishhook finding that dangles.

Crafted from premium 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, the hypoallergenic fishhook earring findings are designed for comfort and durability. With a smooth polished finish, they are nickel-free and safe for sensitive skin. They are rust-proof and tarnish-resistant. Their lightweight and secure design makes them ideal for elegant and comfortable earrings.

Each pair of earrings begins as a single sheet of Washi paper. Cut to 3.5 centimeters, each piece is hand-selected to complement the other. The paper is folded into intricate origami cranes, embodying the meticulous dedication of the artist.

To preserve their beauty, the cranes are hand-brushed with a durable epoxy resin and cured imparting a radiant, glossy sheen while ensuring water resistance and lasting strength. 

The cranes are bestowed with a jewel, carefully chosen to harmonize with the essence and vibrant hues of the paper, enhancing their elegance and storytelling charm.
